Lemont only allows beekeeping on ten acres or more. This not only hard to find but extremely expensive. There are limits to the number of colonies a beekeeper can keep, but at least retail sales and other regulations would be more relaxed. A small or maybe even a sideliner beekeeping business is theoretically possible, but based on the difficulties in obtaining ten acres, Lemont does not want bees or beekeepers in the village.
