Lombard’s municipal code forbids the keeping livestock, but they do not consider bees livestock at this time. The code also does not allow poisonous insects, but bees are not considered poisonous at this time. Beekeeping is allowed as a hobby and there are no regulations regarding keeping bees, but the sale of honey and hive products are not allowed by beekeepers living in Lombard. Because of this, Lombard is best for hobby beekeepers.
