At this time, Kane County is very friendly toward beekeeping. They only require one acre or more in unincorporated areas to keep bees. To sell agricultural commodities they technically require five acres, but there is leeway on this. If all zoning provisions are met, it is very easy to have a sideliner or small commercial operation in Kane county.
